Dog Leap Stairs
Mr YB's birthday yesterday so we went for a lovely meal at Six at the Baltic. We passed Dog Leap Stairs on the way there. They are from about the 18th century and lead up to the castle Apparently the name means a 'a narrow slip of ground between houses.' They are mentioned in a Dire Staits song called 'Down to the Waterline.' I always think they look mysterious and a bit foreboding. I would not want to walk up them on a dark night.
Lunch was delicious - turkey and all the trimmings for both of us followed by gingerbread creme brulee for me and cherry cremeux for Mr YB. I always visit the ladies toilets when I go to Six as I really like the view from them - see extra. I have also attached a photo of the Christmas tree.
