Grumpy Old Man

A sad day

Another dark and wet day. As before, I spent quite a bit of time on my London pictures and research into the places I visited. So much to learn, so much to discover!

I didn't think I'd have much of an opportunity to get a good Blip outside today, so I snapped a couple of my bits and pieces on the bathroom wall. The first is a shoal of blue-eyed metal fish which I rather like - beneath them is a carved wooden dish of the Pied Piper of Hameln. Unfortunately nobody else likes this but me! As Hameln is spelt the German way I wonder if this is a German carving, but I don't know - I bought it in a charity shop.

After lunch we took Susie to the vet. As we left the house the heavens opened - torrentially. The poor puss has gone downhill quickly, not eating and sitting outside in the rain,  as well as struggling to walk. We agreed that it would be best to say goodbye to her - she is fifteen so it seemed unfair  to let her suffer. We shall miss her very much.

Quote of the day: 'If you think it's going to rain, it will.' - Clint Eastwood.
