Cthulhu Dreams
A busy day - again - in the extension. Nearly all the wall and ceiling painting is done now and I'm starting on the skirtings. The electrician has mounted the exterior lighting, so Janet can garden in the dark once more (when it stops raining... if it stops raining...).
Then a looong Teams meeting with the Greenway project team. A major problem with what would seem to be an excellent idea - to make a safe walking and cycling route to our nearest village and town, is likely to remove the subsidised school buses (currently provided because there is no safe walking route to the secondary school).
However, the loss of the buses would mean children as young as eleven would be expected to walk (or cycle) three miles in all weathers carrying their schoolbags and PE kit, along a route that might be poorly lit especially in the darker months, with all the potential for incident that provides...
Every silver lining has it's cloud...
You'd be hard pressed to work out what this image began as... so I'll tell you, it was the edge of one of the new kitchen cupboard doors! I'm all out of photographic options, and just hoping the remaining willow tree from the 24th November's blip that survived Storm Bert doesn't go over with Storm Darragh... the tree fellers postponed the felling because of the rain...
