December Marigold

In the spring I bought a packet of mixed seed in the supermarket which I sowed in the raised bed near the back door. It was meant to contain subjects that would attract insects. A few flowers came up but I was quite disappointed. How strange that this pot marigold has taken since the spring to establish and produce a flower.
