19 shopping days left.....

Yes, its countdown to Christmas and most people have already started. The really organised ones have Christmas “ done and dusted “ in November with cards written and presents wrapped.
I have yet to start. Am I alone?
Spent the day doing cyanotype printing ( see extra) following the one day workshop I attended some weeks ago. Working under the supervision of the artist -led workshop it seemed so easy to use light to generate images. In practice it turned out to be much harder. .
Anyway, I did manage an image of a hunting knife (see extra) bought some time ago in Alaska while on a stopover to Japan. ( It was sold as a tourist item). I used it in a text/photograph project during my first year at Glasgow School of Art. It was subsequently withdrawn from an exhibition, no explanation given, though I suspect it had something to do with the text accompanying it: “ getting ready for a night out in Glasgow”.
The college was sniffy about Glasgow’s knife culture and deemed it inappropriate. But only a few days before I had been in a hardware store close to the college where a gang of youths were fingering a rack of knives before making several purchases.
