A Dog's Life

Hovis is not impressed by the pecking order in the house these days. The cat is allowed on the new settee (only because he is not a "plucky" kind of cat and he's 16 so he deserves some home comforts...oh and he's small) but Hovis isn't (he's too big, often too muddy and it's no-go!). Just seconds before I took this, Desmond was giving Hovis an ever harder time by swiping him across the head with a swift paw. They love each other really.
