Downpour

Goodbye Margate - off on the train up to that London we did go. A bit of a mooch around the Christmas trees and tat at Covent Garden and then over to the Whitechapel Gallery to get a seat and meet up with young F. And what a delightful time we did have; the first mulled wine of the season! A Peter Kennard retrospective too. But then on through a downpour (yes yes of biblical proportions) to Bubala at Spitalfields. Who knew vegetarian food could be so expensive? Or so filling (ok maybe that burger at Covent Garden wasn’t such a good idea). And as for wine - not just red/white (and rosé) categories. Nooo. Orange too. Macabeo Maceracion! They’re all going gaga for it in London Town, I can report. We shall get some in and delight, amaze, astound and impress our friends at Christmas; I’ll become as feted as Samuel Johnson on his trip to the Highlands. I can just imagine the society beauties pressing in around me and laughing uproariously at my every witty retort. Roll on the festive season.
