Aimee and her Grandad
This was taken around 25 years ago - first skiing holiday. The bench was just outside the chalet and when we arrived there was no snow, but woke up the following morning and you could only see the top of the bench! Good friend S sent me lots of photos so more remembering and more tears.
Today we drove round to Tooting again - we had a zoom call with the Celebrant. She is lovely and sensitive and I am sure she will do a good job (although I did wonder if she was saying slightly too much?). We had so many tears going through it and know Tuesday will be so emotional but I am sure, surrounded by everyone's love for Aimee, we will get through. We had also taken over Aimee's dress and had intended to take it to the funeral directors but we ran out of time so JC will take it tomorrow. I snipped a few of the feathers from the shoulders and will make us a 'bow' corsage to wear on Tuesday.
After the call JC went off to Maggies for his therapy/counselling appointment which he has found really helpful, he has been talking to them for the last year or so? OH cut the privet hedge while I sorted out some washing and pushed the hoover round, felt a bit deja vu as I would always do a few jobs when I went to visit Aimee but this time she wasn't there.
We got home around 6.30 and clocked up another 4 hours on the M25 today.
