The Rijksmuseum this morning...

...what a gallery...

You could wander the aisles for days, and still not see everything!
We mainly stayed on the second floor - for the Night Watch, and the Dutch Masters. We weren't disappointed ;)

The lower pic on the main blip shows the side galleries on the lead up to to the huge Night Watch. The extra is just for my record - Vermeer's Milkmaid, and The Jolly Drinker by Judith Lester, Haarlem's only female master painter.

Thanks for all the love yesterday for my Big Birthday - you're a very kind bunch, and the plethora of birthday hearts was most unexpected!

I'll catch up when I can - at lunchtime we had a message to say our ferry has been cancelled because of the weather, but they are re-routing us via Rotterdam to Hull, then a bus back to Newcastle. Keep your fingers crossed for us ;)
