Crosby beach

I was at work today invigilating. I was worried about flooding and which way to drive as last night there were floods everywhere when I went to camera club so used the motorways to get home. I left at 7.15am and went the motorways and arrived at 7.50am. I always take a flask of coffee so had a drink before going into school. It was great, I really like the group of people and the pupils are really well behaved. 
At lunchtime I drove down to the beach. I had a walk, it was windy and cold and the sea was starting to whip up. Glad I'm not there tomorrow. I did want to see the aircraft carrier that is docked in Liverpool but am not going as the weather forecast is dreadful. Storm Darragh is going to be nasty. 
It was party night for Ada and Lucy tonight but Lucy and Kate her mum have flu so we've cancelled and I'll take the food up to Mel and Ada's. Mel is on antibiotics and should rest. I'll have to decorate the tree myself or just leave it with lights on as it looks so nice. Depends how I feel!
