Bracing
Before I took up my ‘pup sitting’ duties in the afternoon we went for a walk with Paddy & Poppy around Roseisle Woods, part of the Scottish Forestry Commission. Situated just inland in the bay between Burghead and Findorn.
The dogs loved it, as I did, walking along admiring the scenery the sudden appearance of railway tracks surprised me. Apparently built by prisoners of war it was used briefly to supply the coastal defences then used as a local amenity before falling into disuse. The wind on the beach, often heard as background noise when Josh’s calls, certainly woke you out of your reverie, “bracing” comes close but doesn’t quite cut it.
Mrs S and Sam ventured out again in the afternoon with Joshua & Tiana, the Findorn Foundation their destination.
I pup sat and read Saturdays newspaper cover to cover.
