Glow

A quiet morning including a walk round the village for me. We then drove to Ripon where we had lunch, looked in a few shops then went into the Cathedral. It is a beautiful building and includes a crypt which at over 1400 years old is the oldest place of worship in an English Cathedral.
I had booked a few weeks ago for us to go to the Glow event at RHS Harlow Carr having previously seen it on Jeanneb53's journal. The drive to Harrogate was horrendous due to torrential rain and we did consider giving it a miss but we decided to stick to the plan. We did get soaked but fortunately the rain eased off when we were about halfway round. (It was also pouring  rain for our family trip to the Botanics last year so I think we'll give this type of thing a miss next year!)
Wrote my Christmas cards when we got back and when I went on Blip I realised we missed Jeanneb53 by about an hour.
