Goldfinches

The goldfinches are enjoying the feeder. One of them spent most of the afternoon sitting there. I think he liked the safflower seeds that I added to the feeder this morning.

I went to the mall this morning, time for my annual visit to Hickory Farms and the Calendar Club. I bought a couple of new jigsaw puzzles at the Calendar Club plus the calendars that I used each year. I had a check to deposit and stopped at the banking machine in the mall to deposit it, but it kept rejecting the check. I didn't want to spend an hour in the lineup waiting for a teller so my second stop of the day was at another bank, where I successfully deposited the check,
There have been reports of a couple of snow geese with the Canada geese at one of the parks nearby. I stopped to see if I could see them, but no luck. The Canada geese were there. It was windy so I didn't stay out for long.
Finished grocery shopping, then I came home for the rest of the day.
Now I am restless and bored. This is the first Friday night since the first week of April that I have not had to do payroll. And the first Friday night since mid May that I made supper at home.
The forecast for tomorrow is windy and cold again. I still plan to go to the Father Christmas Festival in Mahone Bay, then a craft show in Lunenburg.
