Fruity Friday and Flares
I went back to the GP today as didn’t sleep much last night coughing. Been given a course of steroids, hoping they finally clear my chest.
I’m zapped. In full fibro flare tonight due to the storm, stress, lack of sleep and having a lot to juggle.
The GP was brilliant, he thinks my asthma is flared. I had already had my inhalers double dosed. Cough has settled a bit tonight.
I look like death today but I will get there. I did a small food shop whilst picking up my steroid prescription. Feeling very grateful yet again to the NHS and the local pharmacy for their hard work.
Chronic asthma, fibromyalgia and joint hypermobility is a lot to live with and when I get flares, viruses and infections, it’s draining. I am a very determined person and try to pace, rest but never quit.
I had an online appointment this evening which was very compassionate and supportive. Blip feels like home to me too, it’s one of my happy online worlds.
I got some steps in (pre steroids!) for my paced walking fundraiser in aid of Alcohol Change UK. I’m very grateful for the second donation I received, thank you! :)
If you would like to support me in my December challenge to support Alcohol Change with their important work reducing alcohol harm in the UK, the link is below.
I’m delighted to have raised £45 for the charity in two days.
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend, today’s step count is in the extras :)
