Gently down the stream

I didn't really feel like going out today, but landed up doing so twice, firstly to help J walk the ridgebacks round the Farm (I wasn't much help really, just possibly moral support) and secondly to catch a bus down to the Cathedral for one of my quick rainy day shots.

I will just say here, the Farm was inches deep in mud and water, very slippery and so strongly attacked by the wind I thought we'd have a tree down on us!  The bus was more peaceful!

So, the tiles - they're medieval (13th and 14th Century) and to be found at the east end behind the altar.  Many of them are now roped off to prevent further wear and damage.  Apparently they constitute the largest area of medieval tiles in the UK (no, not just the ones in the blip but altogether ;)))

In a minute I shall have to get the hopefully no-longer-muddy dog towels out of the washing machine.  And then honestly, apart from looking at your lovely blips I'd really like to go to bed - it's  been a  helluva day and it's all to do again tomorrow!

Have a good evening all  xx
