Still Standing Firm

Of course the old hollowed oak is still there... he's been standing there for centuries, and this won't have been the worst storm he's withstood. 

Even so, it was a noisy night at the rear of the house (my bedroom faces west and gets most of the prevailing storms and rain blatter smack into the windows). 

There were a few trees down around the country lanes, but happily the much reduced willow tree stayed upright - much to my Clerk's relief!
