By the river
It's not been too bad weatherwise here. Well, it's been pretty wet all day, especially when I went out to collect baked goods from the market, but there hasn't been too much wind. Passing by the new mural on the Water of Leith and snapping some of its characters gave me a colourful blip, notwithstanding the greyness of the day.
I've mainly been occupied reading. First, finishing Alistair Moffat's Highlands and Islands of Scotland. And second, making good progress on the Elif Shafak I should have finished for book group. I've now read the same number of books as I did last year, so there is a decent chance I will make it to 30 this year. I typically read a lot over Christmas.
I did stop to make supper, but it was all about reverting to type - I made a sausage pasta, but it was rather spicy as I put too much of the arrabbiata spice in. Whoops. We coped. And I managed a peloton workout and didn't feel wiped out afterwards. So perhaps I'm over the "thing" that has been making me feel sub par all week.
