Update on Margret
The storm was worst here overnight and this morning. It had died down a bit when I drove to Hexham this afternoon to see Margret. She was on good form.
She is always cold and I took in a new, thick fleece blanket. I thought it was cheery for the Christmas period and she liked it too.
She is improving her walking with the Zimmer frame and had been to the table to eat with others at lunchtime.
All good.
I started the day by writing my Christmas letter. I had not realised just how hard that would be and a few tears were shed. I put together the slide show that goes with it. I had a major error message when I tried to upload it, but it turned out that I needed to update the software. Phew!
On Mark’s recommendation, I am watching Operation Mincemeat on Amazon Prime. It’s a Second World War movie with all sorts of famous British actors in it. Simon Russell Beale plays Churchill so it must be good. (He is one of my favourite actors - I’ll never forget him playing an unlikely Ariel in The Tempest!)
