Whimsical Christmas Adventure
We decided to have a day in town. We started at a craft fair. My sister bought Brooklyn a highland cow ornament for their 365 days tree in her “girls’” room. She got light up rings for the great grands. We found a tavern for lunch. It was nicely decorated and our meals were delicious. From there, our BIL drove us into Ohio for a “surprise”. They found this quaint store last time they were up here. There were rooms and rooms of nostalgic candy, toys, and decorations. We were glad we ate lunch before visiting the store. It is also a bakery; I could have spent my retirement check but willpower took over and I left empty handed except for several digital photos to show the grands. We’ll have to take them when they visit next. This sitting area was perfect for my blip. Our BIL dropped us at church and they shopped. We still had a few items to get after Mass. And I was high bid on another hand made quilt that our friend auctioned. We dropped off my check and gathered the queen sized quilt. He will use the money to buy supplies for folks who lost so much in the hurricane that devastated NC. He plans to go back down there in a week or so. I was delighted to help Hoagy raise money for those poor people. We are heading home to enjoy some hearty soup and sit by the warming fireplace. We can add another delightful day together to our memory bank. Wishing you a warm evening. Stay safe. Thanks for your visit and continued kind comments.
