About You
For Heart Freeks July Challenge - About you.
I'm 33, born in March which makes me a terrible romantic....
I grew up in Pinner and spent my summers and all school holidays at Mablethorpe, Lincolnshire, where I have been this weekend - this is Mum and Dad's bungalow that they brought 42 years ago.
I have one sister, Natasha who is 40 and I have two nieces Sally (21) and Emma (17) and one great nephew Zavier (Sally's little boy), who I don't see as much as I like. My Mum and Dad are 74 and 77 respectively. I have five brothers in laws - they don't faze me!
I married Chris the day after my 22 birthday, we have been married 11 years and together for 17 years - yes I met him after my 16th birthday if you are good at maths!!
I adore my cats a little bit too much; right now they are my babies!! I love giraffes and horses.
I adore wine and cocktails. I love to giggle with girlfriends, I love to dance, I love clothes, I love hearts and have far too many around the house (hence my love for Heart Freeks Journal and challenges).
I cannot sing, although I do in the car when I am on my own. I am happy in my own company.
I love to travel and will at any given opportunity. I love Sydney and have been lucky to go back a few times and that it is where I discovered my fear of heights....I will never climb the bridge again, but at least I can say I have! I had a lucky escape quad biking in New Zealand.....I have been on the back of a running elephant in South Africa......both scared me!
I can shot a .22 gun and hit the target (tin targets, I would never fire a gun to kill).
I took up running at the age of 30 and can now run 10km without stopping!!
I left school and didn't go to uni (I regret that), I wanted to work.... I started out as an office junior and took 'sexist jokes' with a pinch of salt....I moved up and into HR (or personnel as it was then!), I am now a HR Director and I love what I do! I am a member of the CIPD and will be starting my Masters this year and hope to obtain my fellowship status of the CIPD.
I am a trained florist and they are the only thing that has ever made me cry with pure frustration....I will never arrange flowers again - flowers in my house get thrown lovingly placed into a jar to look natural.
I love the city and I love country life all in the same measure. I live in the country.
As for the other huge part of about me, well it's all played out here, on this fantastic site. I love my camera and I love blip.
So there you have a lot about me, theres lots more I am sure, but I think this gives you an idea!! I have just realised I could probably use parts of this for my next reflective piece I need to write for my studies!!
