Only in Amsterdam!

Horrendous storm and torrential rain today!! Every where is packed full of wet tourists! We have 'fast track' tickets to the Van Gogh but sadly they were not so fast!!! Three hour queue in the pouring rain and under full thunder and lightening. We decided to make other plans so we found a table had a drink and a sandwich we then found 'House of Bols - cocktail and Genever a Experience' Seeing as it had no queue we went in only to be told that due to the very bad electrical storm the 'show' wasn't in full swing but we could have a cocktail for 5€ - bargain and what a yummy drink I had, for those interested :-

sweet sour of Curaçao

60ml of Bols Blue Curaçao
60ml of Fresh Grapefruit juice (no bits!)
7.5ml of Sugar Syrup

Shake all ingredients with ice and pour into a pre chilled sling glass

With the rain still raging we are now back at our comfortable, has free availability of places to sit chilling out with a cheese board and wine chatting about work, blip, holidays and just about putting the world to rights.

Tonight we have a table reservation for dinner and then tomorrow we head home
