My topsy-turvy life

By Rathmandu

Storm?! What storm?

A morning of playing inside with storm Darragh raging outside. There was pottering around with Louisa and Owen making Moana's canoe from some of the cardboard boxes now strewn around the house. We did have to venture to town though as Owen and me were in desperate need of a haircut.

It was busier than I expected and there was a festive feeling in the Darwin Centre with some carollers* as we came in -I particular liked the 'slipstop' sign for that added Victoriana feel.
Once the trauma of Owen's haircut had been overcome we headed to the softplay (where Owen bumped into a schoolfriend) to burn off some energy and take in some coffee. While we were there we had a surprise visitor come to see the children and hand out presents, a Christmas in Shrewsbury book, and pose for photos. I did try and get one myself but Louisa was too busy showing Owen his pictures, so I just looked a bit daft.
