Elegant simplicity

This morning, we had been invited to some local friends(C and D) for a "light lunch". They recently had their bungalow more- or- less rebuilt and the modern, light and airy, transformation is wonderful. It was definitely worth the hassle (moving out for seven months) and expense. 
Claire and I worked together in the same  company for 38 years; she's still there and has notched up 48 years' service!  We had lots of  news to catch up on. 
Claire  made  us a delicious  mushroom stroganoff- a sumptuous "light lunch" in my book, and served it in their elegant new dining area.
