Busy day
Third Christmas on my own. Each one has been different. Mentioned before I am sure, we always loved Christmas. 25 years of my own children and fostering, then granddaughters, we always got together as a family over several days. We always had a real tree and it was a running joke as to what we would do when one of us was alone. So, year 1 I bought a small table top tree. Year 2 it had grown and I used it again. Year 3 and it has grown, but out and not up! It is short and fat, and would not look good at all! Facing the buying of a real tree, getting it in my small car and then sawing the bottoms, getting in a stand by myself all seemed too difficult, so I have done what I said I wouldn’t do, and bought an artificial one. It wasn’t a cheap one, and does look ok, although it takes just as long to get up and ‘fluffed’ out!
It’s done though, now I just need to get my head round what presents to buy!
