Curious cows

At this point in the day I would have preferred it if they could have told me where I was! Getting lost was a rarity, and with another great day of sun it wasn't too much of a problem. The first part of today was quite a hard slog. I think day 2 or 3 is probably the toughest of this kind of trip - you haven't built up touring fitness (unless you normally cycle round with 20 kg extra weight) and are still settling into the routine. Thoughts of 'why am I doing this?' were unanswerable today.
