madwill's world

Model Mosquito

A busy day…or so it seems

Openreach, the UK network provider, came this morning to connect us to full fibre broadband and remove the old copper phone line connections.

A straightforward job - he was done in a couple of hours - it then took me another 'while' longer to untangle / remove all the old phone cables/extensions and the power supplies for the ‘boxes’ - there are now 6 little chargers, one for the  router, one for the new cable unit, one for the house alarm, one for the NAS drive and two usb connectors for the video doorbell storage and internal camera!

Mrs madwill then decided we should head off to Designer Outlet at York to search for a birthday present for her mum. Well - it was heaving - people wandering around aimlessly in packs, faces glued to their phones….I walked twice as far as I needed to having to dodge all the muppets!! Relentless 'festive' music on the Tannoy didn't help my demeanour!

I then spent the afternoon getting together and packing up a load of camera gear - including my EOS R6, a few lenses and a tripod/head plus an old EOS 100D SLR. The are all heading off to MPB - being collected tomorrow. If their assessment of the gear is satisfactory there should be a decent sum of money heading my way.

So a quick emergency blip of another of my models I finished recently - a WW2 De Havilland Mosquito of the RAF.
