A Touch Of Fire Damage

It was an early breakfast and then take the 14 crates of foodstuff to Strathbrock for opening time.
Then it was up to the Centre to collect my new glasses  (1st appointment of the day).
After that it was up to The Larder where I picked up half a dozen empty crates for tonight's pick-up (just in case).

On the way home we drove past the source of the fire the other day (in the extras). Apparently it could be seen from Fife.
I don't think the gymnastic school will be too happy .... theirs is  was the unit with the red and green bins.

There was a 'prototype' made of something I want to turn.
It was made using a lump of cracked cr*p pine because I wanted to try the design first. Just as well I did use c*ap pine because the design didn't work and will need to be modified.
I also did something I have never done before and put paint on a gnome (not photographed yet).

It was back down to M&S at 7pm for another collection.
That was when we were told it was 8pm tonight as they don't close until then .... and next week it will be 9pm. It would appear that they had neglected to tell The Larder.
So it was back down after 8pm - and then had to wait 15 + minutes for them to open the door.
I was just as well I had collected some crates because everything had just been dumped in a shopping trolley. I say dumped because there was no order to it.....fruit & veg mixed in with the fish products, mixed in with the cakes and bread, mixed in with the chilled meat. It was as if somebody had been doing a supermarket sweep and just scooping stuff off the shelves.
After 20 minutes we had sorted everything out and packed the crates in some sort of order.

Todays' whisky is Nc'nean from Kingsbarns in the Kingdom of Fife (rather nice).
