Chickadees
The chickadees were cooperative this morning while I was walking at Shubie. I put some seeds on this stump and several of them were landing, then grabbing a seed and flying away again. The squirrels were much quieter today than normal.
The trails were icy in places, I wished I had my crampons with me. We had the snow that changed to rain yesterday, then anything that had not melted froze solid overnight.
I really should get a pair of binoculars to make it easier to see the birds that are hanging out closer to the ravine. I saw at least one white throated sparrow this morning.
Messy weather in the forecast for the next 3 days, snow, rain and possibly some freezing rain.
I got my covid and flu shots today, one in each arm. So far, both arms are feeling good.
I set up my desktop computer today, but seem to be missing the cord that connects to the monitor. I thought all the cords were kept together. I've got a couple of extra cords that I have no idea what they belong to. I checked the box containing the modems that I have to send back to Eastlink, but it is not with them.
Fortunately recycling gets picked up tomorrow morning, so all the empty boxes got put to the curb this afternoon plus 5 blue bags with newpaper, cardboard and plastic in them.
The insulation crew never showed up today, the installer was sick. It has been rescheduled to Friday.
