A little festivity!
We don't do a lot for the holidays but we do like these fireworks lights!
We picked my sister up at the airport this afternoon... it's mom's 90th birthday tomorrow. Things are still a bit difficult sometimes because of her dementia and confusion, but ever since the Hurricane in October things have improved.
My husband Steve now goes to her house daily, At first he was going over after the hurricane when she first went back to her house and stores weren't open. I was still up north with my son & also my sister. Checking in on mom gave him more purpose to his day and he saw it was making a big difference. We also pack food for her and she really appreciates that. It has so helped the entire family and we are all grateful.
So tomorrow we celebrate mom's 90th. I roasted a chicken & made dried corn. Yesterday I baked some squash. Steve made mashed potatoes! And for dessert I made a carrot cake, yum!
Thank you so much for your visits and comments yesterday. I'm so glad you enjoyed our beautiful sunset.
