Tree -Time 2024 part 12

Today was the day for getting the bulk of my Christmas shopping done, and it more or less is! It wasn't too hectic in town, probably because everyone is internet shopping. I found most of the items off my list, good substitutes for some others.

I'm weirdly conflicted with it all really. In one sense I hate the commercial side of Christmas, but on the other I like to treat my family. My kids, especially the eldest two, missed out a lot when they were little as their Dad and I were dirt poor then and I feel bad about that. It was better with Grace...

I had a voucher for a free drink in Waterstones cafe, so I went and made use of that before coming home. I'd forgotten to take my book again but at least that meant my bags were slightly less heavy.. I edited my photos ready for Blipping and did a couple of other online tasks whilst drinking my gingerbread latte and eating my cake.

Once I was home I put the shopping away and tried to do a few other things. Does anyone else ever start one task, immediately get distracted by another, then another and so on?

I needed to use an app that only works on my old phone. It had no charge. I went to put it on charge, took my tablet off charge, noticed my advent calendar so investigated what type of tea I had today, put water in the filter for tea, put dry dishes away, answered a call from Brian who was out, watched a cat video on YouTube, made the tea, sorted some stuff out for recycling, drank the tea, then my phone was charged, so I could finally do the job I'd intended doing ages ago.

Then at last, I got round to posting my Blip on my current phone! It's my tree shot - the final one for this tree. I don't think this shot - nor any of the others I took - shows how many damaged branches it has. At least it's still standing!
