Endurance based Darragh was still blowing hard first thing, slowly easing midday before building up again late afternoon.
First light We had good walk around the perimeter of the farm to check on any more storm damage.
On returning to Amadeus prepared a brace of pheasants in roasting bags for the oven and a rabbit in my slow cooker.for later.
We headed out to Clovelly for the Christmas lights switch on not realising that the event had been cancelled due to high winds. On nearing the harbour we realised the event had been cancelled but the locals and a small contingent of people who had travelled as far away as south Wales were treated to a smaller version. A children’s choir performed some carols with some support from the “crowd”.
Back home for a hearty bowl of rabbit stew and dumplings.
