Falmouth

It was very dull and damp today. We decided to head to Falmouth, as we were interested in visiting a gallery. We parked up and wandered along the quite long Main Street. It was bedecked with neon bunting, which definitely brightened up a very dreich day. We eventually found the gallery, only to discover it us closed on Mondays. How disappointing.

We continued our wander, popping into a few shops, but not buying anything. We found a lovely cafe above a lovely bookshop for lunch. The food was lovely. We then continued on our way, and decided we would risk going for a walk. We found a walk in our book and drive to the start, parking by a lovely sandy beach, though very empty today. We walked around a headland in the coastal path, and the weather took s turn for the worse at the most exposed part. We sheltered by some bushes until the worst had passed over.

We continued on our way. All was good until TT wanted to take me through a field which was full of frisky and energetic cows. I wasn’t keen, in fact I refused. Luckily at that point TT was distracted by two ladies and their dogs, who needed some assistance. They helpfully pointed us into the correct route, which wasn’t through the cow field. Whew!!

The walk back across country became a bit of a trudge in places, as it was all just so wet. We were relieved to get back to the car, and then to get home.

We FaceTimed BB later in the evening. He said he wasn’t feeling great, but hopefully he’ll feel better in the morning after a good nights sleep.

This is a view over the bay at Falmouth. I spotted the extra, a sign from the past, and a link to Scotland.
