Apples and Oranges

By Anitsirk

I made a rare visit to the town center today, making some needed errands. I usually just go to and from work, not passing through town at all, and staying home or in my part of the city on my days off. This will change in the middle of January, when I'm trying out a new sport. More about that later... :)

So, I went to the store where I bought my screw driver/drill to ask about the dead battery and if it was as I though. Very nice man at the service disk helped me out and took care of the dead battery. When I buy a new one, I need to remember to charge it now and then. Lesson learned! I also went to buy some thin longer nails and wood glue for my window shelf. I can make the holes with a drill at work, and then glue and nail the pieces together. A helpful man in the shop told me the length was perfect, since I'm drilling first, and with the wood glue my shelf will be secure. :)
Then I went to buy extra paper for the photo book I'm rebinding, then home and a stopp at the library to print some papers and I found a fun book about gardening.
I also picked up two parcels on my way into town, one filled with fabric to sew a Christmas gift for mum, and then new gloves and woolly socks for me.

The photo is from the town square, where a new kind of decoration is set up this year. I didn't see 'our' lovely heart tree, though, sadly. Not sure if it'll be set up later or if this new star was a replacement.
