... beans!

Today's prompt in the EDPS seasonal challenge.

I recently joined the Instant Pot revolution. I didn't even realize there was one until after I'd bought mine. It's funny how something as mundane and old-fashioned as a pressure cooker suddenly becomes on trend again.

My mother had one of those old-style pressure cookers that you put on the hob. It was a hissing, spitting, slightly scary beast. The new incarnation is much more civilised - it even sends me friendly messages on my phone to reassure me all is well and to update me on the progress it's making.

This is my first attempt at pressure-cooked beans, which will be going in a veggie chilli later on today.
