It's a chilly day
with high cloud and a wind out
of the north - winter!

My overnight got scrambled. I was up at 3 AM sorting fabric in my living room. A friend back home invited me to participate in an online mystery quilt event on New Year's Day. So, the prospect percolated in my brain. I have a whole bin of polka dot cottons that cried out to be used. 

I went back to bed at 5:30 to finish my night. Coffee was at 10 when the pest control truck arrived. He was here maybe 30 minutes in total to spray around the yard and house. He ran a brush along the upper edge of the awning. I have not seen that happen before and don't know what that was for. The spray was applied liberally around the perimeter and outside edge of the  house. Then he was gone. 

So, I'm in for the day. It seems like a good day to cut some fabric or prep some painting. I'm working up the motivation.
