Early morning is
the best time for grocery
shopping - few people!

I beat my own record for arriving at the grocery store - 5:57 AM. I had to stand and wait at the door for the lady with the key to show up. She ushered in some staff but told me I'd have to wait. I waited. She came back at one minute to the hour to unlock the sliding door once again. This time she made quite a show of calling in workers but not allowing me in. Finally, with a big smile she pushed back the door and said to me, "I'm not going to get fired for letting you in one minute late." This lack of courtesy and a somewhat antagonistic response surprised me. I've not encountered this at my local store before.

I had to walk to the far end of the store to get a cart but the doors were locked to that section. I turned back to find the door lady traipsing behind me. She gave a big huff as though I was a great irritant to her day. I simply rolled my eyes and continued. The less said, the better. Again, not at all what I've come to expect at this store.

I will see if I can input a review online. Rudeness should not go unnoticed.

I think I will make my coffee and watch the sun come up over the Gilas. That's what I'm here for.
