I am not a quick worker
It is only a few days short of the 13th anniversary of moving into this house. Strangely I feel as if I have been her far longer, probably because I have retired and it is such a wonderful place to live.
In all those 13 years our collection of fancy teapots have stayed in their boxes in the loft, we had no where to display them suitably. In our previous house we had a kitchen/dinner and they fitted in just fine.
Whilst we were away last weekend we visited an big antique/ reclaim yard where they sell the most wonderfully bazaar thing, previously featured here. They had some reclaimed chunky oak shelves that would look OK in the living room and some very detailed cast iron brackets to hold them up. (The brackets are actually new, still boxed but look suitably old).
So shelves up (minimal swearing) and some of the teapot collection in place. The fate of the other is still in the balance, they might have to remain in the loft even longer.
I was very careful to only show the brackets in this blip. Please be ready for plenty of future teapot blips
