Sally Mair - Loving life

By Sallymair

Staff night out!

I had to be at Ali's for just after 9 this morning to let someone in, and of course today had to be the day when the car needed defrosted before I couldn't set out. Brrrr. It didn't get above freezing all day and was a clear day, just so cold!
After leaving Ali's I went to church, I was amazed to find nine of us in the congregation on such a cold morning. I met up with Ross our Curate who blessed and dedicated the little bottle for the communion set and it's all ready now to take out with me tomorrow. He says he's been telling people the story of how I got it all week because it was so lovely. (See Saturdays blip of you didn't read it before)
I went home for lunch and then confess to falling sound asleep. I woke with a start having had the most vivid dream about driving round Dunfermline in an old toy car, a four seater, with Colin's cousin and a former colleague. It quite distressed me but I don't know why.
After I woke I got ready for our charity shop teams' Christmas Dinner in the Olde Inn in D'mains. There were 17 of us there. It was rather strange as it was Pub Quiz night so all the tables in the lounge bar were reserved for people who didn't actually arrive till after 8pm. It was strange to see it so empty. By 8.30, there wasn't a seat left.
Dinner was delicious. I do enjoy the social aspect of being with a group of people like that. I got the bus home, only a few stops but far too cold to walk.
