Sally Mair - Loving life

By Sallymair

Tuesday

Tuesday today which started with a phone call from the Dean as arranged. We discussed various matters raised by the Buildings Committee all of which involve high expense and a possible delay to our vacancy process. She was very supportive but It do think we need actual practical support rather than words and suggestions as time moves on.
This afternoon was my charity shop session. I processed so many donations. Hanging them, tagging them and putting them on the shop floor once they had been steamed. That's the one job I don't do as my shoulder complains afterwards .
Back home I had a visit from a friend of Ali's. He is about to become a father as they have adopted a little boy and is so excited. I had bought them a white noise machine at the children's sale the other week. Ali swears by hers and her girls both sleep really well. I hope it works as well for them as the wee one is going to find life very different with a new family.
I had a long chat with my sister this evening. She's still not right. They just can't seem to find the right medication for her. Looking forward to seeing her up here soon.
We watched the quizzes tonight. I was right on the ball for only connect answering about 4 questions quickly in the first half as well as my usual success in the missing vowels.
This threatened 19 continuous days fuelling strike at the airport is worrying as Ali and family are due to fly back at the end of the month. It's going to play havoc with the tourist influx too.
My blip is the evening sky tonight at just after 4pm
