Traditional and modern Christmas.
Beautiful Stained Glass Window by Belgian artist JB Capronnier 1814-1891.
Depicts the angel appearing to the shepherds and below the three kings bring gifts to Mary and Jesus. Very traditional.
The extra is a sculpture entitled
‘ The First Meeting ‘. Mary and her baby.
By the Doncaster artist. 1935-2019.
Both seen by us today when we visited Howden Minster on our way to lunch at
The Star at Sancton. for out traditional PreChristmas treat.
Delicious as always.
We called at two butchers and a cheese and wine shop in the town.
Brought back lots of treats for Christmas including
Pheasants, partridges, venison, several bottles of wine and of course cheese.
Now just have to pull out all my recipes.
Back home, very full and quite tired, but we have had a very happy day.
Nearly forgot the Advent Calendar.
Today cheddar with caramelised onions.
Joke.
It’s a very sad day, my friend is leaving his job at the paint factory after 30 years.
We’re all feeling very emulsional.
