An afternoon in Bewdley

After a morning of feeds (including the start of day 2 of BLW, which breakfast consisted of some toast cut into soldiers which got sucked to within an inch of themselves, and some kiwi which didn't really get touched) sorting cats and kittens, waiting for Eva to wake from her nap etc etc, packing everything we needed to take including Eva's new chair, off we set to see Nanny and Grandad Nash and Jake over at the caravan in Bewdley.

We arrived and dinner was pretty much all ready, the smell of roast lamb was mouth watering, but first I needed to give Eva her feed so that she would have the patience needed to 'eat' (suck) her dinner.

Eva's first ever Sunday roast consisted of... a carrot cut longways in half, a floret of broccoli, a piece of roast parsnip, and a strip of lamb. It was so exciting.

Omg she loved the parsnip! She didn't actually 'eat' any if it, but she loved the taste of it, as it was so sweet and caramelised to perfection. She had it all round her mouth. It was lovely to see her really enjoying this new taste sensation. She was picking stuff up and bringing it to her mouth a lot easier today and sucking everything. I was naughty and broke some broccoli off and put it in her mouth, but she gagged very slightly on it, and brought it up with a tiny bit of sick, but we took it in our stride, and she carried on with gumming the rest of her dinner totally unfazed.

Dinner was absolutely gorgeous, Pauline did us all proud as always. For dessert we had lemon tart and sticky toffee pudding followed by fresh coffee and a Baileys, we were well and truly spoiled!

After dinner, we drove into Bewdley and walked along the river where there were university boat races going on, so the atmosphere was quite buzzing with crowds cheering for which uni they were supporting in each race. We stopped off for ice creams and bags of sweets from a traditional sweet shop and just generally had a lovely time.

We got home around 7.30 pm. I sorted the cats and kittens out and Mike bathed Eva and got her ready for bed, then I took her for her feed, but Eva was in a very playful mood, lying on her back by the side of me on the bed, and kicking her little legs up and down, so I started copying her, which she found hilarious and copied me back, each time with her beautiful eyes all smiley and giggling her little head off. I know I should have been settling her down for the night, but I just could not resist. It didn't seem to make much difference anyway, she'd had a good feed, a good wind, and was in her bed, a happy girly by 8.45 pm. I came downstairs leaving her still awake, but we didn't hear a peep out of her on the monitor, so she obviously went straight to sleep.

She'd had an action packed day bless her and we all really enjoyed ourselves Xxx
