Yes!

I finally got to bed at 11:30 last night when the bread was done. Not too bad for some people I imagine, but enough to throw me off for most of today. Was it worth it? Well, the house smells great, but I’d say these loaves are about a 5. The dough should have easily risen to the top of that paper pan, so the bread is denser than I’d like, and drier. And less of it. But waay better than no pannetone! Toasted. With lots of butter, as if there wasn’t enough in there already. It made for a nice accompaniment to my puzzles this morning. I will try again as soon as I can get more of those baking papers and find a nice long open day.
