Long exposure

Long exposure of metro train coming into the station

Thank you for the glitter and medal yesterday!

I got a fabulous gift yesterday in the my mail. See extra! I used it last night

Ukraine hit a pipeline in Russia. It is 60 miles from the border. Russia says they took down 14 drones, but that there was a fire at the site. Ukraine said the pipeline helps bring fuel to Russian troops. It is one of the longest pipelines in the world.

Ok, two Ukrainian tanks on attack in Kursk. A Russian armored personnel carrier came up. A Ukrainian tank shot it. The crew inside fled the vehicle. The second tank shot the carrier and set it on fire. (Glad the Russian soldiers fled.) Some of the Russians fled in the direction of Ukraine. No one knows why the Russian vehicle approached the tanks. Maybe they thought they were Russian tanks. Maybe they thought the tanks were immobilized. A retired US general said it was the closest tank engagement he’s ever seen.

China is buying less coal from Russia than last year. Imports fell 21%. Russia is hugely dependent on sales to China. Russia is exporting less due to sanctions and has rising costs due to sanctions and restricted access to rail lines. China has a free trade agreement with Indonesia and Australia, not with Russia, which makes Russian coal more expensive in comparison.

Ukraine is conducting psychological warfare against North Korean troops to persuade them to surrender. They are using the “I want to live” project that has persuaded and helped many Russians to surrender. They are using leaflets and videos. They are in Korean and printed with illustrations. They tell the North Koreans how to surrender (lie down, hold a white sheet or leaflet, drop weapons). The videos tell them they will be given shelter, food, and warmth.

Russia doesn’t like that the US just loaned $20 B to Ukraine, backed by frozen Russian assets. They call it robbery.
