Stonehenge

That’s the one in Esperance WA not Wiltshire! It was built “as new” out of local granite about 20 years ago on a farm. Several local producers came with delicious products for us to try (the brewery, gin distillery, bakery with scones, delicatessen with salami, cheese, olives, etc). And the local singer/songwriter sang for us inside the stones. A surreal experience!

Esperance is farming town of 12,000 people and they made us very welcome. Some First Nation people blessed us with peppermint leaf smoke on an amazing beach with turquoise sea and icing sugar sand. They told us a Dreaming story that explained the shape of the rocks (first extra).

When the sun came out, the temperature was mid-30s but every so often it rained hard - extreme and unpredictable weather!
