It's Flower Friday and today's flower is one that many people have never seen. You'll undoubtedly notice the bunches of bananas on the flower stalk but we rarely get to see the flower from which they grow. You can see one of the reddish colored flower petals below. Cool eh?

Don't be silly........there's no wild banana plants in Wisconsin. They are tropical / semi-tropical and do not do well in the snow and cold. HOWEVER....in the City of Milwaukee, there's the Mitchell Park Conservatory....a.k.a. The Domes....and you can find banana trees there even in the middle of winter.
