It's a Puffin!

We have been meaning to go and see the puffins for years, but have never managed it for one reason or another.

So after years of talk, we decided this was it.

Up early and onto the ferry, with everything we needed for the day.

Skomer Island is a truly amazing place! It is so rustic and untouched, the perfect place to find puffins who aren't frightened of humans! It was hard going as the temperature rose, poor S2 had CJ in the backpack. But it was worth it to see these cute "clowns" of the bird world flying around and bringing fish back to their young in the nests. Even CJ was fascinated by them, as long as they moved about!
