Down To Zero

A bone chilling zero degrees Fahrenheit at dawn this morning. Early pinks visible in the sky as the sun rose, with contrasting pale blue ice on the lake. But I wasn't tempted to go outside.

Even later on, when I did pluck up the courage, the reading was still only 8. I gave my heated socks and gloves a whirl.

Along the shore a crack had developed, which made a leading line into the frame. I'm learning to soften the distant shore, which makes it blend in more. I wish the houses weren't there, but at least the wide angle minimises them.
