Val's book launch

A full day...
A long chat with Ruth in the morning, a good catch-up.
Then - big day! - Richard's son Nik arrived soon after lunch. Having flown from New Zealand, he was both excited to be here and a bit dazed; he went off for a nap at the end of the afternoon. A photo or two will follow in future blips...
My old & close friend Val finished a novel recently and published it through Troubadour, a self-publishing company. This evening she held a small book launch at a local library, and asked me to take some photos. The evening went really well: plenty of people, good readings from Val, interesting questions. So she's my blip subject today.
