Juxtaposition
I thought this set up which I spotted at Katy's today could provide a good starting point in the science V religion debate!
I was amused to see that the girls are clearly insisting on the magi making their journey over an extended period. Today they have reached halfway across the hall on their way to the manger!
This morning we posted Christmas cards A-G and the rest of the overseas ones. International letters - up to 100g - now cost £2.80. It will be interesting to see how many make it in time. I also made use of my DuoLingo to write a condolence message on the card to the family Katy exchanged with for 6 years a very long time ago. They used to live in Pontoise, but have now moved to St Germaine en Laye and the husband died earlier this year. I'm sure there were mistakes but hopefully it will be clear enough.
I went to pick up the girls from school and bring them here for lunch. While they were here, I took them one at a time to wrap the Secret Santa gifts they had bought. All will be in the same wrapping paper with the same gift tags so they won't have that as a clue to the giver. What fun
I took Eilidh home after dropping Isobel at dancing then went into the village to pick up some gifts in the charity shop to add to the extremely boring gifts in the Christmas crackers. Just the men's to buy now. Why are they so difficult!
When I got home I powered on and managed to get the rest of the cards written. We rewarded ourselves with a meal out at Cool Jade and with great pleasure dropped the cards in a post box on the way home, phew! Now I just have to buy some Christmas presents. At least I don't have to post any.
A beautiful hand made card arrived from India today - it cost them just 35p to send!
