Sally Mair - Loving life

By Sallymair

Santa is in!

I had another of 'those' nights last night so got up late although when I was awake at around 5 am and went into the kitchen the moon was so bright low in the western sky that it was almost as bright as day. I've given up attempting to take good moon images with my phone though.
We'd decided to head up to Falkland today to look in Vintage Quine and a couple of other shops. The traffic was lighter going out off town which was a treat. One of the reasons we'd decided to head to Fife was that we couldn't face the Edinburgh crowds on a Saturday.
Ali had sent me a couple of messages earlier with pictures to go with them. They did the Big Bay parkrun with Table Mountain in the background. They seem to be having a great time, they've been away for a week now. The girls seemed to have settled well and Josie is loving being able to spend so much time in the swimming pool.
My blip today is of the window of the room in Falkland Palace where Santa is. I saw several children coming out with beautifully wrapped presents and looking very happy. Nice to see that they have a Christmas tree there.
I put up my first set of lights in the trees in the garden today, they look so pretty as I glance out of the window. I don't have them flashing or anything just little spots of light. It's raining now though so I'm glad I did it earlier.
I managed to buy one gift, cc which was not a particularly good outcome after driving all that way, but we enjoyed the drive and wander.
